In order to be able to offer a gas spring, we need to know a number of specifications. The specifications are usually stated in a code as on the gas spring. If you need a replacement gas spring and there is a sticker on the gas spring, you can simply send it to us. If the gas spring does not have a code, we have a simple order form online for you. But what does the data on my gas spring actually mean?

10 = Piston rod diameter in mm
22 = Diameter of the cylinder in mm
150 = Stroke length or Length of the piston rod excluding connection in mm
400 = Total length of the gas spring when extended, excluding connections in mm
150N = 150 Newtons. Power of the gas spring. 150 newton equals +/- 15kg weight. If your flap or hatch has a weight of 40 kg, you need at least 400 Newtons of force.
A1N1-52-300-700/100N
A1 = Connection to the piston rod. In this case connection – eye.
N1 = Connection to the cylinder. In this case connection – eye.
5 = Speed ​​& Damping. 5 is a normal speed.
2 = Type code for piston rod diameter and cylinder. In this case it is a 10/22 (see below).
10 = Piston rod diameter in mm
22 = Diameter of the cylinder in mm
300 = Stroke length or Length of the piston rod excluding connection in mm
700 = Total length of the gas spring when extended, excluding connections in mm
100N = 100 Newtons. Power of the gas spring. 100 newton equals +/- 10kg weight. If your flap or hatch has a weight of 40 kg, you need at least 400 Newtons of force.
